아일랜드는 영어를 배우기에 편안하고 즐거운 분위기의 독특한 환경을 가지고 있다. 많은 사람들에게 아일랜드는 유럽의 'Green Country' 로 불리어지고 있으나 6세기 때부터 교육에 많은 투자가 이루어지는 곳이며 현재까지도 그러한 전통은 꾸준히 발전되고 있다. 이런 전통에 힘입어 본교는 기품있는 Georgian building에 잘 정돈된 정원과 시내 중심과와는 걸어서 왕래할 수 있는 짧은 거리에 위치하고 있다. 그리고 학교 모퉁이를 돌면 극작가 G.B. Shaw의 생가가 있으며, 지금은 박물관으로 개조되어 일반인들에게 개방되고 있다. 또한 본교는 Department of Education이 인정한 학교 중 하나이다.
The institute is officially recognised by the Department of Education and is subject to the maintenance of specified standards in relation to courses, teachers qualifications and other important considerations. In addition, it is a member of Tandem International, a worldwide association of quality language schools. We place emphasis on quality and on attention to detail. We provide a wide range of language courses, some leading to internationally recognised qualifications: Cambridge, TOEFL etc. In addition, you can now take - at 2 weeks' notice - a newly-designed test (The Test of Interactive English) which tests your speaking and writing skills.
Our highly-qualified staff have wide experience of many different countries of the world. They are selected not only on an academic basis but also the extent to which they can work well with others.
Host Families
Many students prefer to be accommodated with Irish host families where they can maximise their exposure to the language. They are also exposed to Irish culture in the everyday sense. Such host families are carefully vetted. Host families are encouraged to integrate students into their family life including occasional trips in and around the city to social and sports events.
Most Irish families live not in the centre of town but a bus journey away. You may share the family with another student but not of the same mother-tongue, so you have to use your English! In Ireland, 'good' conversation is regarded almost as an art form. Clever, good humour is much appreciated, with each participant anxious to enjoy the 'craic' - pronounced crack; an Irish word which translates as good humour and entertainment.
